Review
Cool episode. I found myself in deep anncipiation as
more headway was made between Ryan and Marissa. Although
I am worried he is losing his dark moody side especially
in the pool scenes. I think that's what makes the series.
A echo of the down fall of Angel perhaps.
Still this episode had a great story behind it, one
of the best I have seen so far. It had a fair bit of
originality and made quite a few changes - it really
moved the plot forward with Jimmy without it taking
over an episode.
All in all, top marks so far. Solid episode.

Episode Guide
Opens with beach shots and music. Seth and Ryan have
lobster on the beach front. Seth tells Ryan to go after
Marissa. Ryan says he is feeling like a moocher and
wants to get a job at the resaurant.
Kirsten is forced to defend Jimmy / Julie from their
friends. Next door, Julie tells Jimmy she has to go
on the weekend retreat. Summer and Marissa are hanging
out on the beach. Summer decides to buy Marissa lunch.
Ryan arrives at his new job at the resaurant. Summer
and Marissa arrive. Meanwhile Sandy offers to help Jimmy
with his legal case. Luke arrives at the resaurant on
Summer's secret invitation.
Ryan talks to a collegue, Donnie, whois is also from
outside of New Port and stares his distain for Luke.
Luke blows it with Marissa. After work Seth turns up
but Ryan has made other plans. He heads off with Donnie
and arrives back next morning.
Later Ryan speaks to Marissa. They arrange to meet
at Marissa's house later. Sandy is helping Jimmy out
but they get tired and Sandy suggests they go out and
do something. Meanwhile at the retreat Julie plays the
victim card. There is mention of a divorce.
Seth invites Ryan to iMax but he refuses as he has
plans with Marissa. Seth invites Donnie but Donnie offers
to take Seth to a party instead. Ryan warns Seth not
to go as it's in a shadey neibourhood. Sandy and Jimmy
have a barbeque.
Julie seems unhappu about Kirsten's concern for Jimmy.
Meanwhile Ryan and Seth turn up at the party. At home,
Jimmy and Sandy play video games. Back at the party,
they decide to head back and discover the car has been
trashed. This come to a head between Kirsten and Julie
at the retreat.
Seth tells Marissa it was his fault that Ryan never
turned up last night and convinces her to give Ryan
another chance. Sandy and Jimmy are out playing golf.
Sandy tells Jimmy he thinks he can keep him out of jail
but he will lose his licence and have to pay all the
money back. Jimmy seems unwilling to sell the house
to cover it as he thinks Julie will leave him.
Jimmy and Sandy argue about it and Jimmy leacves. At
the restaurant, Srth tells Ryan about the date. Donnie
talks Seth into going to the beach party at Holly's
though he says he will bring some friends. Ryan is not
pleased about it.
Later Marissa arives and she and Ryan eat a solid meal
of grilled cheese. They mess around by the poolside
and jump in. At the party Donnie gets aggressive. Seth
tries to cool him off. He shows Seth that he has a gun.
Marissa and Ryan almost kiss but are interupted with
a phone call from Seth.
Luke gets busy with Holly however she is pulled away
when she hears expensive cutlery being broken. Donnie
is getting drunk and breaking stuff. Ryan arrives just
as Donnie is confronting Luke. Donny pulls the gun out.
Ryan takes him out but Luke is shot in the arm.
The women arrive back from their retreat. Julie and
Kirsten talk. Marissa arrives at the hospital and goes
to see Luke. Ryan and Seth decide to stick together
from now on.
