Review
Wooah, what a series finale! Ok it was a little drawn
out with the basic event of Ryan leaving talking 40
minutes but still there were some minor events to pad
it out. I expected a little more of the wedding but
I didn’t actually want to see it so that all worked
out for the best.
What is Seth doing anyway I mean can you really do
anything on a boat that size? I had my doubts also when
he said the four of them could sail down the coast,
I mean it isn’t exactly a large boat now is it?
The music was on and off; some of it was pretty good.
It see the mood I guess which was very emo and therefore
awesome. I have maybe seen better episodes in this series
but that one was no disappointment, at all. Excellent
episode.

Ryan: “You know, when you took me in I had nothing

kid to grow up like I did”
Seth: “Before he got here I was the biggest loser;
this place was hell for me. And I can’t help him,
I just can’t even imagine what it is going to
be like here without him”

Opens with Seth and Ryan talking outside somewhere.
Theresa comes out of the family planning clinic and
is about to speak when it cuts to Kirsten talking on
the phone about the wedding planning when Sandy walks
in. They discuss the impending wedding.
Sandy is still bitter about what Caleb did although
Kirsten tries to bring him round with a big of coercion.
Theresa, Seth and Ryan walk in to interrupt them. They
tell them they have been at the doctors and Theresa
confesses she is pregnant. Cuts to opening credits.
Ryan talks to the Marissa at school about Theresa.
They discuss the future of their relationship considering
the possibility that Ryan is the father although Ryan
says he still wants it to work between them. Seth and
Summer grab a coffee and Summer says she is freaking
out about everything.
Kirsten comes in to the restaurant and offers to talk
with Theresa however she is too busy working and runs
off. Elsewhere something seems to be struggling with
something when Sandy comes in. Caleb admits to him that
the Newport Group is going bust. He says the DA are
all over him and walks out.
Jimmy arrives back at the apartment to find Marissa
packing her stuff to move in with Julie. Jimmy offers
to take Marissa down to the pier but she says she has
too much to do. At the Cohen’s, Sandy quizzes
Ryan. Theresa arrives and asks to talk to Ryan. They
go outside and Theresa says that she is not going to
have to baby.
Next morning Seth starts going on about some boat thing
to Ryan. Ryan has told him about Theresa not having
the baby. Kirsten comes in to the pool house and offers
to take her to the planning clinic and she agrees.
Later Ryan talks to Marissa as they have lunch. Caleb
leads a blindfolded Julie into a garden. He talks it
off to reveal a huge really expensive home. She loves
it although Caleb has a bit of a doubting look. At the
dock, Seth and Ryan climb aboard the boat. They begin
to talk about what sailing they could do over summer.
Kirsten and Theresa discuss what is happening, Theresa
has the appointment booked although she is having second
thoughts (her head says not to have it but her heart
says yes type situation). Kirsten confesses that she
wishes she had someone there for her when she made her
decision and says she is there for her.
That evening Ryan enters the pool house to see Theresa
and she tells him that she is going to have the baby
after all. Next morning Sandy quizzes Kirsten on what
she said to Theresa as Sandy thinks they shouldn’t
have it, Sandy suspects Kirsten is hiding something.
Sandy keeps to himself about Caleb’s financial
troubles.
Ryan enters the pool house to find Theresa packing.
She says she told her mum everything and she is going
back home. Ryan says he doesn’t want her to go
but Theresa suggests that he comes with her.
Marissa, Jimmy and Hailey walk into Julie’s new
house carrying boxes. Julie comes in and they have a
bitching session while Marissa heads back to the car
to grab more boxes. Marissa tells them all to stop it
though Julie doesn’t know that Marissa is being
blackmailed into it.
Summer and Seth are down at the dock and Seth appears
to be selling his boat in order to get money for Ryan
and Theresa. That night Jimmy taunts Caleb a bit as
everyone gathers at the reception or whatever it is.
Sandy comes over to talk to Caleb and tells him that
the DA has it in for him and he is pretty much done
for. Sandy suggests to Caleb that Jimmy may be his way
out.
Marissa comes in to find Ryan in the pool house. Ryan
tells Marissa that Theresa has gone back home to have
the baby and that Ryan hints at going back too. At the
dinner Caleb gives a speech. Afterwards Ryan walks off
and Marissa follows him. Seth and Summer then come in
and they all head down to the beach.
Ryan admits to everyone that he is planning to go back.
Next morning Seth arrives on the dock and the guy tells
him he couldn’t sell the boat as the buyer pulled
out. Seth walks into the restaurant where Marissa and
Summer are and they discuss Ryan’s leaving.
Seth does not want to give up but Marissa and Summer
think there is nothing else they can do. Seth takes
a stab about Marissa dragging in Oliver and Marissa
bitches back. Sandy comes into the pool house and says
they are leaving for the Chappell soon. Ryan says Theresa
is picking him up at 6. Sandy says that they can both
stay here but Ryan says he couldn’t ask that.
There is a stock shot above Newport followed by cutting
to the chapel as Julie walks down the isle in a large
white dress. Cuts to after the ceremony where Caleb
and Julie are dancing, everyone else soon joins in.
Marissa comes over and Ryan asks her to dance. Marissa
says she understands why Ryan has to leave and breaks
down. Camera pulls back from a high angel shot of the
party.
Cuts to Seth sitting on the grass looking out to sea.
Summer comes over to find him and sits down next to
him. Seth is really depressed over Ryan leaving. Summer
says they will get through it. Seth admits the boat
was named after her. She leaves Seth is quite contemplation.
Ryan looks around the empty pool house before talking
his bags inside. Kirsten and Sandy are in the kitchen
and Kirsten hands him a bag for the road. Ryan thanks
them for taking him in and they share a hug. Ryan goes
to see Seth and they share some awkward moments but
Seth blocks him out.
Seth and Theresa drive off while Marissa watches on
from the end of the drive. He watches from the back
window as a limo pulls up for Marissa. Seth packs a
bag and walks out with notes left for his parents and
Summer. Marissa walks around in the new house and looks
out over the house balcony. Seth casts his boat off
on the dock and sails out to sea.
There are shots of Ryan in the car and Kirsten crying
at home. Marissa begins to drink while Seth continues
to sail. Fades to black.
